Safety first
Storing food for any length of time needs care. Be sure to cool and package up meals for the fridge or freezer within two hours. Transferring the food to a new dish will help cool it more quickly and covering with foil will stop cross contamination.
Pre-cooked food can be kept in the fridge for around three days, but if you want to keep it for longer, pop it in the freezer instead (check freezer times here. Store in leak proof containers and label with the date so you’ll know how long it’s been in there.
