Simple cheese omelette
This is a great quick meal at any time of the day. Eggs are a fantastic, affordable source of protein, helping our muscles to grow and repair and helping us to feel fuller for longer. Serve your omelette with wholemeal bread and a simple tomato salad for a healthy, balanced meal. Download the recipe.

Classic tomato spaghetti
This is a fantastic midweek meal. Once you’ve made this a few times you can add other simple ingredients, such as baby spinach, chopped rocket leaves, or fresh or frozen peas, to your basic tomato sauce to completely transform it. Download the recipe.

Eating a tasty, nutritious breakfast is a great way to help kick-start your day the best way you can. Make a big batch of healthy cereal, then store it in an airtight container for up to four weeks. Making a curry from scratch doesn’t need to be complicated. When it comes to curry, the herbs and spices are the stars of the show. Hearty and nutritious, minestrone soup is a tasty crowd-pleaser and is super easy to tweak according to the vegetables you have in the house. Roast chicken with potatoes and carrots
This is a classic Sunday dinner that the whole family will love. It’s super simple too. Always try to buy the best quality chicken you can afford – aim for RSPCA-Assured birds as a minimum, then trade up when you can. Salmon and pesto-dressed vegetables
Salmon is a great source of both omega 3, which helps to keep our hearts healthy, and vitamin D that helps to make our bones and teeth strong. Simple green salad with lemon dressing
If you use lovely fresh leaves and dress them properly, even the most basic salad like this one will taste absolutely amazing. The combination of oil and acid in the dressing helps our bodies to absorb more of the nutrients from the greens. Super clever! Download the recipe.

Simple houmous
Chickpeas – the star ingredient in houmous – are incredibly good for you. High in protein and fibre and more than ten micronutrients, including a hefty amount of the mineral copper, keeping our hair and skin nice and healthy, this is a great, nutritious snack. Veggie noodle stir fry
A great way to make sure you’re getting the vitamins and minerals your body needs is to eat the rainbow. Eating a mixture of different coloured vegetables, like in this stir-fry, will help you do that. This dish will give you two of your 5-a-day.
