Whatever the Weather
We all know that feeling of being stood at your wardrobe door with not a clue what to wear. It can be hard finding an outfit when the weather is changing, not only by the day but almost by the hour. With the sun glaring down on us one moment, and the heavens opening the next, you really do need to be prepared for the day ahead. We’ve got a few top tips for you to help make the transition into autumn that little bit easier:
-
1. Capsule Wardrobe
You’ve probably all heard of a capsule wardrobe and seen it doing the rounds on social media by now. When transitioning between seasons, a capsule wardrobe really can help.
So, what is a capsule wardrobe and why should I have one?
A capsule wardrobe is made up of 10-20 items of clothing that fit well together and can be dressed up or dressed down to suit your every need and every occasion. These include your basics, from t-shirts and shirts to jeans and trousers, your staples that work with just about anything are what make up that capsule wardrobe. But these can look different for everyone.
Capsule items are perfect for a season change as they can help you to smoothly transition into autumn fashion without having to take everything out the wardrobe and replace with warmer garments.
Capsule wardrobes can also be fantastic for sustainability as it encourages you to utilise the pieces you already have at home to create new and exciting outfits instead of indulging in the latest fashion trends and spending mindlessly.

2. Layers, Layers and more Layers
Autumn is the perfect time to start thinking about layering up. The trick here is to layer up with thinner garments. We recommend keeping out those cropped tees and cotton t-shirts that have served you well throughout the summer; those that sit perfectly under a comfy knit. It’s especially important to keep these lighter garments easily accessible throughout autumn and even into winter. After all, the weather has a mind of its own, and we might just be treated to a warm and sunny fall, so you can never be too prepared.
-
3. Freshen up those Clothes that have been Collecting Dust
While you’re getting your new season wardrobe ready, you might find that those items that have been collecting dust in the cupboard are in need of a freshen up. If you’re looking for a quick fix-up, then why not try one of our hand-held steamers. The Pure POP heats up in just 15 seconds and sanitises, de-creases and steams both vertically and horizontally. Or pick up the Pure Tex and freshen up your clothes, removing even pet hairs.

4. Don’t Forget to Pack an Umbrella
And for those days when you just don’t know how the weather will turn out, don’t forget to pack an umbrella and protect that gorgeous outfit from the rain.
Now your capsule wardrobe is in full swing and you’ve packed your umbrella for emergencies. You’re almost ready to step into autumn!
