Plan ahead
A few minutes of preparation will help your day, week or even month run more smoothly. The best way to do this is by writing a good (and realistic!) to-do list. Divide your day between home and work tasks, structure it by time and be sure to prioritise what’s important.
The fun bit is (of course) ticking off each task as you go. Not only does this keep you on track, but it gives you a nice motivational boost too, and who doesn’t love that?

Keep a calendar
Whether on a phone app or traditional wall calendar, make sure you note all your appointments and events in one place. Add them as soon as they’re arranged so they don’t slip your mind; this will also allow you plan other events and chores around them.
At the start of each week, take a few minutes to check your planner for what’s coming up and confirm any necessary appointments. Use it to mark birthdays, prompt you to arrange your next hair/dental/MOT appointment, for pet care reminders – it works for anything and everything!
-

It’s hard to feel in control when you’re surrounded by chaos, so make sure your environment is in order, be that your desk, room or home.

-
Get set the night before
Don’t waste precious time in the morning routing through the wardrobe (or washing basket!) to put together your outfit. Spend a few minutes the night before choosing and preparing your clothes. If you’re not in a rush, it’s also the perfect opportunity for a bit of restyling..
-
Delegate and automate
You can’t do everything yourself and being snowed-under will leave you feeling very unorganised. Make sure you delegate jobs to family, household members and colleagues when appropriate.
Lean on kitchen appliances like the Cook4Me, soup makers and the Turbo Cuisine to take care of dinner – that’s one less job for you.
If getting organised just sounds like a load of extra work, we’ve got good news. It can save you money (no late fees or buying things you have already), reduce waste in the kitchen (the joys of meal planning!), and – best of all – leave you with more time to do the things you’d rather be doing. Enjoy!
