How to Make Sure You Don’t Over Pack!

  • Packing is, perhaps, the only thing we like to put off longer than unpacking. You can spend hours labouring over multiple suitcases only to find, upon arrival in said hot country, that none of them contain a bottle of sun cream. You forget to pack your children’s favourite swimming costumes and you realise that none of your chargers work without the adapter that, typically, you forgot to pack.

However, fear not! We have compiled a list of tips and tricks to make packing ‐ and consequently your holiday ‐ a more pleasant experience.

    • Lists are not just for local supermarket trips!

Writing out a list of items to pack beforehand will reduce the risk of forgetting essentials. If you take the list with you on your holiday, it can also help to prevent pesky items, like phone chargers, from being left behind.

    • Take advantage of all available space

Take advantage of all available space in the suitcase. For example, you could fill your shoes with any smaller items.

    • Pack any light coloured clothes inside out

This will reduce creases and protect your clothes from stains. You can also stop dirty shoes from leaving grubby marks by covering them with disposable shower caps or plastic bags.

    • Carry essentials in your hand luggage

It is always best to be prepared for the worst because luggage does sometimes go AWOL.
