D is for Dining Like A Grown-Up

by Tefal Team on 02 December 2016
  • Being a functional, grown-up, real-life adult can be pretty stressful at times. Particularly when it comes to those occasions when we have to prove our adultness to other adults, whether that’s our friends, co-workers, relatives or (please no!) our in-laws.

Throwing a dinner party is definitely one of these times. When you were younger, having friends over for dinner just meant it was your job to answer the door to the pizza delivery guy. Now they’re  coming over with their partners and expecting an equisite meal, masterfully prepared, with three courses of excellence accompanied by wine, light political chat and polite discussions about work. And you’ve seen from all those hours spent watching Come Dine With Me how cruel dinner guests can be!

There’s so many questions. What do you serve? Do forks go on the left or the right? Why don’t we have enough matching wine glasses?!

Luckily, we’re on hand with our Tefalphabet tips to help you through it. We put our heads together with the pros at L’atelier des Chefs to come up with the tips below for pulling off the perfect dinner party. Our chef partners even recommended the LdC, their signature cocktail, to get your guests in the party mood.
